Being a photographer means that I have the opportunity to capture moments in my friends & families lives – engagements, weddings, births – the list goes on. Last November when I was in California, I was able to capture my sister’s proposal (see it here!) & this time around, I photographed their engagement session. They chose the Santiago Nature Reserve in Garden Grove, and the location was perfect!
There’s something about that California light that just gets me. The setting sun shone perfectly through the eucalyptus trees as the two of them laughed at each other (and me) & it was a great time! JB wins the award for best reflector holder/light blocker/assistant & keeping Doug entertained. Photographing family is always fun (especially when you can tease them to make them laugh!), but it’s truly such an honor to be able to capture moments & occasions like this.
