Last month, I was so excited to be a part of a workshop hosted by Jennifer Smith of Darling Photography! I have been a fan of hers for a long time, & we’ve even had our own personal photos taken by her. Based on how fun she was during our shoot in December, I knew that we were all going to have a blast during the workshop! Despite the oppressive heat (seriously – 90 degree temps and 80% humidity – this is Maine, not Georgia!), we all learned SO. MUCH. & had a great time! I literally thought that my brain was exploding on the way home that night!
Not only did Jenn go over equipment, culling (my nemesis!), editing, marketing & posing, we then got to have an actual shoot at the end of the day. She went through and culled & edited a session from the night before with such lightning speed that it was blowing my mind. Seriously, y’all, so much information!! I have pages and pages of notes to prove it :). She was so helpful in answering any questions we had (Hi, I’m the queen of stupid questions) & she would walk us through processes step by step.
Oh my gosh – and the shoot! – y’all…wait until you see these gorgeous people. They were SO easy to work with!! They were total naturals for the camera(s) & every photo came out stunning despite the fact that we were all literally melting into the ground. I can’t reiterate enough how amazing it was to have this opportunity!! I’ve already started implementing 75% of what I learned from her – and my life has never been easier! Thank you SO much for sharing your time & knowledge, Jenn!! I highly recommend taking a workshop from her if you have the opportunity to!!!
