Having the opportunity to grow up on a lake in the summer is a truly incredible one. Sam & Kristal planned their family-centric wedding at his family camp on Pennesseewassee Lake in Norway, Maine. (I keep having to google the name to ensure the correct amount of letters ????). The day was cloudy and breezy but the rain held off until literally 20 minutes after the reception ended…I couldn’t believe it!!
Sam & Kristal planned their day around their families – even having their two beautiful pups next door watching the ceremony! They were married on the floating dock while their family and friends watched from the lawn, and had their first dance in the midst of everyone in the driveway. The property was absolutely gorgeous, with waterfront views and deep woods behind the house – pretty much the best of both worlds!!
Kristal got ready next door and their first look was on a bridge that acts as the property divider (how sweet!!). Their parent dances were unforgettable (they made EVERYONE cry, including me!!) & part of the bridal party jumped off the dock, fully clothed. (Look for her brothers high fiving as they jump!). My favorite part of the whole day was when her French Canadian grandma (seriously, can I get her to come to every wedding?) CAUGHT the bouquet & was so embarrassed when she realized that the garter was going to be put onto her. Their day was so full of love & family & I was truly honored to have been able to capture their wedding for them!
