Over a year ago, Tanner and a photographer schemed together to get an unsuspecting Kelsey in front of the camera by telling her that the photographer needed a couple for a “photo trial run” for a wedding the next day. Little did Kelsey know that Tanner was going to propose mid-shoot!! (The pictures are the actual best!!)
I didn’t meet Tanner & Kelsey until their wedding day!! I walked into the house that they rented for their families (future brides: DO THIS!) & when Kelsey gave me a huge hug and showed me her GLITTER Kate Spade wedges, I instantly knew we’d be friends. Having both the bride and groom get ready together was the sweetest experience (even though it definitely took ninja skills to keep them hidden from each other!), & I loved that their parents were able to go back and forth while they were both getting dressed.
I loved being able to watch Kelsey spy on Tanner as he walked out to the car to leave for the venue (she was so excited to see him in his tux!). Oh – and wait until you see his grin when he saw her walking down the aisle! Tanner and Kelsey (finally!) said their vows in front of their friends and family at the Bundy Modern Art Museum. Her stepfather married them & their vows were simple, sweet and every word reverberated with love. The leaves were crisp and colorful, the breeze warm, and the rain stopped 10 minutes before their ceremony (!).
We were able to walk around the property during their portraits and not only was it the most quintessential October-in-Vermont day, it was made 100 times better by the sight of their friends and family together. Cast Iron Catering put together the most INCREDIBLE dinner (I mean – top 5 wedding dinners I’ve ever had!) & Tanner & Kelsey had a phenomenal dance party inside the Bundy!!
