Summer Camp Wedding at Camp Sentinel in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire
From the moment my cousin Rachel contacted me about photographing her wedding, I knew that this would be a special one. I remember when she was born, and her first birthday, so to witness and capture her wedding day was truly a full circle moment. She and her husband Jon were so easy going, despite the fact that the weather changed literally every 45 minutes during the entire day (deluge to 80 degrees and steamy back to deluge – rinse and repeat). Rachel wore her grandmother’s wedding dress which her great-grandmother also wore, and it was absolutely perfect on her. It was originally hand sewn by her great-great-grandmother in 1942 for the first wedding – my Gramp was a teenager at that wedding. It was so special to see such a stunning dress worn by a third generation, and to know that our grandparents had also seen it during their youth.
When Rachel & Jon first saw each other at their first look, they were so thrilled and you could see the utter delight written all over their faces. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a couple so giddy about getting married, and I absolutely loved it (it made my job SO easy!). I am so excited to see this next chapter in your lives, you two!! xoxoxo
