Floral Summer Wedding on Peaks Island in Portland, Maine
One of my favorite places that I’ve ever visited in the Maine area is Peaks Island and I was THRILLED when Delaney & Mike hired me to capture their day on the island!! They all got ready in downtown Portland and from the minute I walked into their suites, I could tell that it was going to be a fantastic day – they and their wedding party BROUGHT the party! Delaney & Mike’s adorable first look took place right on the street and was punctuated by all the cars honking and drivers yelling “Congratulations!” – which honestly is the best part of getting married in a city! We all walked through the Old Port to do their wedding party portraits and down to the docks to catch a taxi to the island. Their ceremony looked over the harbor and so did their cocktail hour. One of the best things about a Peaks wedding is that we walk around the island’s downtown amongst the tourists and kids eating ice cream while photographing wedding portraits! We snuck back out after dinner to do some sunset portraits on the dock with the city of Portland behind them and it was perfect!! Congratulations Delaney & Mike!!! xoxo
