From the moment that I met Nick & Laura two (!) years ago at their proposal, I immediately liked them. Their families were so welcoming and sweet and I was thrilled to be able to photograph their engagement and wedding too!! From the moment that I entered the house in the morning to find all the girls excitedly chatting and getting their hair & makeup done to the minute that Laura did a first look with her dad (Guys. My heart can’t even handle these!!), it was such a sweet and sentimental day.
Nick’s reaction to Laura at their first look is truly my favorite reaction of ALL TIME. He (involuntarily) waved his hands and jumped up and down when he turned around. I mean, when you see what she looked like you’ll understand the reaction. Laura gave out Grace Kelly vibes all day with her incredible CUSTOM gown – guys, let me tell you about it. She designed it with buttons down the back like her mom’s dress with beaded swirls on the back like the waves on Lake Winnipesaukee. Her crowning glory though, was a GLITTER VEIL designed to invoke a memory that Nick had of Laura sailing with the sparkling water behind her. CAN YOU EVEN DEAL WITH THIS. I couldn’t. She also had the most beautiful long trailing skirt that she wore for the majority of the day and removed for the reception. You KNOW I love an outfit change.
Their sweet pup Winnie was the ring bearer and their GRANDMAS were their flower girls. They were so adorable and absolutely perfect at their jobs. Their ceremony took place in Cate Park with tourists and locals gathered around the gazebo & docks watching. My favorite part was the second line brass band who led them to cocktail hour! So. Much. Fun. Their cocktail hour and reception took place at the beautiful Brewster boathouse with the sun setting right over the water.
Nick & Laura, your wedding day made me realize how truly perfect and kind and giving you are & I couldn’t have been more incredibly honored to capture it for you!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! xoxoxo
